Had a great time stepping back on the RHS track this afternoon with Payton. Excited to see our sport growing. Shout out to Payton for completing her FIRST EVER 400...and thanks for letting the old guy win a time or two. Thanks Austin and Maria Maas Proof we are slowly rounding the COVID bend...I have to charge my chair more often, because I actually have to go places now....

#accessibility #disability #disabilityawareness #inclusion #wheelchair #SAChat #disabled #wheelchairlife #accessible #hi Mom and dad, Kathy Mccue and Mike McCue, have supported me as I created Open Doors Consulting LLC each in their own way. Mom's probing questions and thoughtful commentary shaped the idea. Dad's nearly 4 decades of business experience has come in ha There is no way to list every friend and colleague who have supported me in bringing Open Doors Consulting LLC to life, but a few folks deserve special mention. Thanks to marketing and technology star Colby Campbell, Jacee Stone Johnston who took a n As I sat at my kitchen table a few weeks ago finalizing paperwork for Open Doors Consulting LLC, I couldn't help but think of my grandparents, Jim and Nancy Seifert, the two most successful entrepreneurs I've ever known. Their excitement would have There are very few people who can stop me with one arm, but Coach Brown was one. Coach didn't know it 22 years ago, but my experience on our team back then showed me firsthand the power of feeling like I belonged. Many of the lessons he taught I brin I've always been an advocate and an educator. This morning I'm excited to take the next step in that journey as I launch Open Doors Consulting LLC( for the record I'm keeping my day job too). Thanks to @colbycampbell.jpg and everyone who helped make One chapter ended and another began this morning in the Wright Hall parking lot! Excited for Rae as she starts her racing career in a rather familiar chair...This chair carried me thousands of miles, taught me countless lessons and made innumerable m As far as Oklahoma racing highlights here were a few:

Every Pistol Pete 5k, such a flat, fast course many fast times were had...and the 1st time I dropped under 26 minutes for 5k

The "Thin Blue Line race with my only ever 6 minute mile thanks If all goes according to plan this weekend I'll be donating my current racing chair to a young woman just starting in the sport( don't worry I have a new chair waiting in the wings and I'll still be racing). I started my career in borrowed chairs, ev Listening to my 2 year old nephew describe his process for climbing the ladder at the park made me realize just how much I have in common with a 2 year old, as I too have to be planful in my movements...On an unrelated note, he and I do have a shared Realized today that when we focus on inclusion we single out the person who needs to be included, a ME issue, belonging is about what WE as the collective majority do to change our approach be more accepting and welcoming of others...Small but import Certainly grateful for all of the experiences I've had since, but preparing for an upcoming workshop and looking at old photos has reminded me of the fun had, and shenanigans caused, when I was a hall director at NDSU...2010-2014 was a great run! Still adding ISU pictures with mom( COVID slowed that process) so I'll toss out this one from OSU v.Texas in 2016! Just saw that the Drake Relays has a HIGH SCHOOL wheelchair 400 on the schedule! This is a HUGE step forward. Well done Drake! Congrats to the young men and women who get to race on the blue oval. Just had an author argue in an article I was editing that simply adding ADA paddles would make an apartment accessible...IF I drank, this is the part where I'd say, "hold my beer..." Happy belated birthday to my power chair! One year ago I parted ways with my old friend, who had some notable accomplishments over its 65 long months of service:

-It traveled 8,379 miles across 2 states( Oklahoma and Illinois)
-It survived 1 collis
